Question 537961: Is y+x=5 increasing or decreasing ?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
As x increases, y must decrease to keep the sum of 5 intact. So this means that we have a negative slope and that the function is decreasing.
