Question 526672: How do I solve for the variable
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log (x+4) + log (x) = 9
-----
log[x(x+4)] = 9
---
x^2+4x = 10^9
---
x^2 + 4x - 10^9 = 0
----
It's pretty difficult to solve that for "x".
Did you post everything correctly?
