Question 51777: Hi, I have to solve the following for t:
300=500(1-e^0.2t)
Assume that ln *0.4)= -0.9
I wouldnt even know where to start..all i can think to do is
300\500=(1-e^0.2t)
any help would be very much appreciated! thanks

Answer by Nate(3500)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
300=500(1-e^0.2t)
3/5 = 1 - e^(.2t)
2/5 = e^(.2t)
ln(2/5) = .2t
ln(2/5)/.2 = t
-0.9/.2 = t = -4.5
