Question 505581: 2ln(x+1/2)=ln(1/4)
Answer by lwsshak3(11628)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2ln(x+1/2)=ln(1/4)
ln(x+1/2)^2-ln(1/4)=0
place under single ln
ln((x+1/2)^2)/(1/4)=0
convert to exponential form: base(e) raised to ln of number(0)=number(x+1/2)^2)/(1/4)
e^0=(x+1/2)^2)/(1/4)=1
(x+1/2)^2)=(1/4)
take sqrt of both sides
x+1/2=±1/2
x=0
or
x=-1 (reject, (x+1/2)>0
