Question 47756: Simplify: 2log(base4)9 - log(base2)3
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2log(base4)9 - log(base2)3
Note: The exponent of 9 when you use base 4 is (1/2) the exponent of
9 when you use base 2.
log(base4)9 = (1/2)log(base2)9
=2(1/2)log(base2)9 -log(base2)3
=log(base2)9 - log(base2)3
=log(base2)(9/3)
=log(base2)3
