Question 449762: 2logsubscript2(8x)-logsubcscrpt2(1+x^2)=4
Answer by lwsshak3(11628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2logsubscript2(8x)-logsubcscrpt2(1+x^2)=4
..
2log2(8x)-log2(1+x^2)=4
write as single log using division rule
log2(8x)^2/(1+x^2)=4
convert to exponential form: (base(2) raised to log of number(4)=number((8x)^2)/(1+x^2)
2^4=(64x^2)/(1+x^2)
16=(64x^2)/(1+x^2)
16+16x^2=(64x^2)
48x^2-16=0
3x^2-1=0
x^2=1/3
x=±1/√3 or ±√3/3 (ans)
