Question 432752: I need assistance solving this equation:
2lnx-ln5=ln(x+10)
Appreciate any help!

Answer by edjones(8007)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
2lnx-ln5=ln(x+10)
ln(x^2)-ln(5)=ln(x+10)
e^(ln(x^2))/e^(ln(5))=e^(ln(x+10))
x^2/5=x+10
x^2=5x+50
x^2-5x-50=0
(x-10)(x+5)=0
x=10
