Question 432148: log(x-5)= log(x-2)+1
Answer by Alan3354(69443) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log(x-5)= log(x-2)+1
log(x-5)= log(x-2) + log(10)
log(x-5)= log((x-2)*10)
x-5 = (x-2)*10
x-5 = 10x - 20
9x = 15
x = 5/3
----------
x = 5/3 causes logs of negative numbers, tho.
--> no solution
