Question 407676: What is the domain of Log3(x+2)?, with explanation

logarithms are not defined for values less than or equal to zero (n ≤ 0)

this means that x+2 must be greater than zero ___ x + 2 > 0

subtracting 2 ___ x > -2

so the domain (allowable x values) is all real numbers greater than -2
