Question 406074: log(2+x)-log(x-3)-log(2)=0
Answer by nerdybill(7384)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log(2+x)-log(x-3)-log(2)=0
log(2+x)/(x-3)-log(2)=0
log[(2+x)/(x-3)]/2=0
[(2+x)/(x-3)]/2=10^0
[(2+x)/(x-3)]/2 = 1
(2+x)/(x-3) = 2
(2+x) = 2(x-3)
2+x = 2x - 6
2 = x - 6
8 = x
