use the properties of logarithms to elimate products, quotients and exponents from the following expression: log3[9 sqrt(x-5)/(x-1)^(5)]
-----
= log3[9*sqrt(x-5)] - log3[(x-1)^5]
---
= log3[9) + log3(x-5) - 5log3(x-1)

use the properties of logarithms to elimate products, quotients and exponents from the following expression: log3[9 sqrt(x-5)/(x-1)^(5)]
-----------------------
log3[9 sqrt(x-5)/(x-1)^(5)]
= 2 + (1/2)log(x-5) - 5log(x-1)
or
= 2 + log(sqrt(x-5)) - 5log(x-1)
----------
The middle term has to be either with the 1/2 coefficient, or the sq root.
All logs base 3.
