SOLUTION: What do you do when you have: 1/2Log(6)16X=3 [that is log, base 6) if you are solving for X, do you bring the "16X" to the other side? so it would be 1/2Log(6)6^3=16X I do

Question 386648: What do you do when you have:
1/2Log(6)16X=3
[that is log, base 6)
if you are solving for X, do you bring the "16X" to the other side?
so it would be 1/2Log(6)6^3=16X
I don't know; I feel like I'm messing this up..

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1/2Log(6)16X=3
-----
Multiply both sides by 2 to get:
Log6(16x) = 6
---
base is 6
exponent is 6
result is 16x
-----
Write in exponential form:
6^6 = 16x
---
x = (6^6)/16
---
x = 2916
