Any help explaining the rules of the problem below would be greatly appreciated!
Write as a single log whose coefficient is 1:
ln(x^2-16) - ln(x+4)
----
The Rule is ln(A)-ln(B) = ln(A/B)
Your Problem:
ln[(x^2-16)/(x+4)]
ln[(x-4)(x+4)/(x+4)]
= ln(x-4)
