Question 376579: I have to solve for x and the problem says. e^(-15x)=1000 what I tried was to take the Ln in both sides and then solve but im not sure could you help me please?
Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
e^(-15x)= 1000
Like you said, find the ln of both sides, we know that the ln(e) = 1 so we have:
-15x = ln(1000)
-15x = 6.907755
x =
x = -.4605

Check this on your calc, enter e^(-15*-4605) = 999.745 ~ 1000
