i am not sure what the b is...the base? If so, i shall ignore it from my writing, for sake of clarity:

log(x^2y^3/z^4)
log(x^2y^3) - log(z^4)
log(x^2) + log(y^3) - log(z^4)
2log(x) + 3log(y) - 4log(z)
