Question 324769: how do i write a logorithum for this equation:
The number of students with cell phones in the city of Oakridge was 100 in the year 2000. The number of cell phones increased 224% annually.
What exponential function describes the number, y, of cell phones owned by high school students x years after 2000?What is the equivalent logarithmic function? What do the independent and dependent variables for this function represent? Show how you developed the function.
here is what i came up with but i don't know if it is right....
y=100*2.24^x
y=log(100)+(log(x)/log(2.24))
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1st equation is good
for 2nd try ___ log(y) = log(100) + x[log(2.24)]
log(y) = 2 + x[log(2.24)]
