Question 315218: solve the problem
log9 1= x

Answer by CharlesG2(834)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
solve the problem
log9 1= x
hoping you mean log base 9 of the number 1 equals x
log9 (1) = x
this is equivalent to 9^x = 1
use conversion of base formula: logb (x) = logk (x)/logk (b),
where b is old base and k is new base, to convert to base 10
log9 (1) = log10 (1)/log10 (9) = 0/log10 (9) = 0
we did not really need to do any math anything to the zero-th power is 1
regardless of the base, the log of 1 is 0
