Here is another one that I am having trouble with.
Write the equation in its equivalent logarithmic form.
10^2 = y
I think the answer is logy = 2
but I am not sure why or how to get there.
thanks in advance for all your help!!
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) Take the log of both sides to get:
(x+6)log6 = log7
x= (log7)/(log6)-6
x= 0.9540-6
x= -5.046
2) correct; you see that the exponent is "2".
So you write log = 2
Then you aswer the question; exponent that produces what?
Answer: y
So you write it as log y = 2
meaning "The exponent that produces y is 2".
Cheers,
Stan H.
