Answer by Alan3354(69443)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 log base 2(y+2)-log base 2(y-2)=1
-----------
(y+2)/(y-2) = 2
y+2 = 2y-4
2 = y-4
y = 6

Answer by richwmiller(17219)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
 y=6
log2(6+2)-log2(6-2)=1
log2(8)-log2 (4)=1
3-2=1
x-z=1
x=z+1
2^x=(y+2)
2^z=(y-2)
2^(z+1)=(y+2)
