There is no alternative but that x=0
unless you mean

There is no power that will make 24^x equal to zero
24^0=1
24^(-1)=1/24
24^1=24

If your equation is:

Then the only value of 'x' that works is 0.

Then x cannot equal 0 because any number raised to the zeroth power = 1.

But you get very close to 0 by using negative values for 'x'.
For example, x = -6 results in

That's probably not the right answer because "very close to zero" is not the same as "equal to zero."
