Question 285873: log square root X=log(x-6)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
log square root X=log(x-6)
log(x^(1/2)) = log(x-6)
x^(1/2) = x-6
x = (x^2-12x+36)
x^2-13x+36 = 0
Factor:
(x-9)(x-4) = 0
x = 9 or x = 4
---
Only x = 9 is a true solution
because log(4-6) does not exist.
