Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
e^-x = 3
ln(e^-x) = ln(3)
-x*ln(e) = 1.0986
:
ln of e is 1, therefore
-x = 1.0986
x = -1.0986
:
:
Check on a calc: enter e^(-(-1.0986))= 2.9999 ~ 3
