We want to get a common denominator with our fractions and then change the numerators.
Our original fractions were
{1/2, 2/3, 5/6}
the common denominator is 6 and the new fractions become
{3/6, 4/6, 5/6}.
we can now rewrite the bases of x, y, and z as
