All logs are base 12
log(x)=.5log(9)+1/3log(27)
log(x)=log(3)+log(3) [log(sqrt of 9) + log(cube root of 27)]
log(x)=log(9)
x=9 This answer is the same no matter what base is used and you don't have to convert any logs to get the answer!
