Let Jasmine b "j"

Equations:
m = 2j
(m-6) = 3(j-6)

Substitute for "m" and solve for "j":
(2j-6) = 3(j-6)
2j-6 = 3j-18
j = 12 (Jasmine's age now)
Since m = 2j, m = 24 (Maria's age now)
