Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Lnx+Ln(x+12)=1.
-------------------
ln(x(x+12)) = 1
x(x+12) = e^1
x^2 + 12x - e = 0
------------------
x = [-12 +- sqrt(144 - 4*1*-e)]/2
---
x = [-12 +- sqrt(154.87)]/2
----
x = [-12 +- 12.44)]/2
----
Only the positive solution satisfies the original equation:
x = [-12 + 12.44]/2
---
x = 0.44/2 = 0.22
-------------------
