Question 22638: How do I solve: 3000=2000(1+.06)^t. I thought that I would try to post my query on this section because I could not find a section that taught how to do this function. Thanks much appreciated.
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Divide both sides by 2000 to get:
(3/2) = (1.06)^t
Take the log of both sides to get:
log 1.5 = t (log 1.06)
Divide both sides by log1.06 to get
[log 1.5]/[log1.06] = t
