Use the log rule to change base --> http://www.mathwords.com/c/change_of_base_formula.htm
log(1/2) 16= log(16)/log(1/2)
Now just use your calculator to evaluate both log and then their quotient
log(16)/log(1/2)=
1.204/(-0.301) = -4
