Question 184435: x^logx = 100x
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^logx = 100x
-----------
Take the log of both sides to get:
(logx)(logx) = log100 + logx
(logx)^2 = 2 + logx
(logx)^2 - logx - 2 = 0
Factor:
(logx-2)(logx+1) = 0
log x = 2 or logx = -1
x = 10^2 or x = 10^-1
x = 100 or x = 1/10
