throughout assume log = log base 10
we know log 1 = 0
why?
because = 1
From properties of log we know
log = n log x
so log = 3 log .01
now we just need to find log .01
note .01 = = =
so = .01 means that log .01 = -2
so now 3 log .01 = 3 * (-2) = -6
