The main thing to remember is this:
***** Logs are exponents! *****
Say or write it 10 times and you'll be fine
Ok, the 1st problem is
a)
What's the log here? It's the exponent
OK, now I can write
log = x
What is the rest of it? Logs need a base, the same as exponents, so
log (base 2) = x
The last bit of info is what the result is when is raised
to the log (or exponent)
You write it like this:
this says
is a log
is the base
is the result
---------------------
b)
is a log
is the base
is the result
---------------------
You should be able to do the rest
