Just add them.
Then check your answer. does 10^YourAnswer = 48?
Answer by Earlsdon(6294) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Try this!
Log(M)+Log(N) = Log(M*N)
Let M = 3 and N = 16 because M*N = 3*16 = 48, so...
Log(48) = Log(3*16) = Log(3)+Log(16) and...
Given that Log(3) = 0.6826 and given that Log(16) = 1.7227, then Log(48) = 0.6826+1.7227 = 2.4053
Answer by ankor@dixie-net.com(22740) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Given that log, 16=1.7227 and log, 3=0.6826
find log, 48
;
Remember when you multiply, the logs are added
3 * 16 = 48
therefore
log(16) + log(3) = log(48)
:
1.7227 + 0.6826 = 2.4053; obviously, these are not the base 10 logs, but base5
:
You can check that on a calc: 5^2.4053 47.999 ~ 48
