What base of logarithm? To which is the power being applied?

for base b, either you want or .
They are not the same. Post what you really need.

Or, most unfortunately, some references use the very bad language in which "log of a to the power b" means

Tutor  @greenestamps gave a good idea on how to read  (how to translate into Math)
this collection of words.

The  @greenestamps' idea goes in right direction,  but I would turn it inside out.

In my view,  the post should be translated this way :  " evaluate    ".

Then it really may look visually like  " Log of  0.2  Raise To The Power of  25 "
for some visitors unfamiliar with the subject (at the zero level of familiarity).

In this interpretation,    = -2.         ANSWER

Solved,  in my interpretation.
