Question 1128460: The fox population in a certain region has an annual growth rate of 7% per year. In the year 2012, there were 23,700 foxes counted in the area. What is the fox population predicted to be in the year 2020? (Round your answer to the nearest whole number.)
*I don't know what I am doing wrong. Here is my work: P(t) = 23, 700*1.07^t.
t = 20, when the year is 2020
P(t) = 23, 700*1.07^20
P(t) = 23, 700* 3.86968
P(t) = 91711 foxes in 2020
Am I not rounding the final answer correctly or is the final answer completely incorrect?

From 2012 to 2020 is 8 years.
t=8.

.

Your mistake is that you take 20 for "t" as the time from 2012 to 2020.

It should be t= 8.
