Question 11020: Dear sir/ ma'am
What is the graph of: y-2=logx
Answer by longjonsilver(2297) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Any log graph has the basic shape:
There are 2 definite points to note:
1. the line x=0 is an asymptote (try putting log(0) into a calculator).
2. the curve crosses the x=axis at x=1 (put log(1) into the calculator and you get zero as the answer.
Now, you have y = log(x) + 2 which means all the y-values are the log(x) values with 2 added to them:
so, when x=1, y was 0..it is now y=2.
Also, when x=0, we still have no value of y allowed. So we end up with
jon.
