Question 1101907: I'm not sure that I answered this question correctly. It is in two parts: Part A and Part B. First I was given this formula: pH=-logH+ Part A says: If H+=0.00204 mole/liter, find pH. Part B says: If pH=3.2, find H+. My answer for A is pH=2.69, and my answer for B is -24.53=H+ Am I right? I have very little faith in my amth problem solving skills, and so if I am wrong, would you explain how to solve this correctly? Thank you!!!
Answer by josgarithmetic(39620) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Part A only.
You could use a scientific or graphing calculator for help.
Hydronium concentration, 0.00204 M
For part B, think: Does your answer make sense to you?
Given pH=3.2, what does this mean?
and your base is 10 for Common Logs
and C is your molarity for hydronium ion concentration.
From that,
which you could use your calculator to get the decimal value for C.
