The two conditions must be satisfied


(1)  x + 2 > 0,   and

(2)  x =/= 4,


saying that the argument under the logarithm function must be positive and the denominator can not be zero.


From (1) you have  x > -2.


So, your answer is this set  (-2,4) U (4,infinity).
