Question 105800: express as a single logarithm:
(a) 3log(x-2)+ 1/2 log(x)
(b) log(3xy)- log(x)
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
express as a single logarithm:
(a) 3log(x-2)+ 1/2 log(x)
= log(x-2)^3 + log (x^(1/2))
= log[x^(1/2)(x-2)^3]
========================
(b) log(3xy)- log(x)
= log [3xy/x]
= log (3y)
=========
