Use the properties of logarithms to expand the expression as much as possible.Evaluate where possible. How would I do these problems?
1. log8(8 over y) = log8(8) - log8(y) = 1 - log8(y)
--------------------------------------
2. log5(125 over x) = log5(125) - log5(x) = 3-log5(x)
----------------------
