Question 1032992: Well I'm given this equation X=log of 76.4 to the base 6
I must solve for x
Can someone help me please

Answer by fractalier(6550)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For this you might wish to use the change of base formula:
log_b(x) = ln (x) / ln (b)
so that
log_6 (76.4) = ln(76.4) / ln(6) = 4.336/1.792 = 2.42
