Question 54112: Hello,
I am trying to figure out this geometric problem. Please help me. It states, In the Figure below, LJ is perpendicular-bisector of AF. What is the value of m + n.
The figure is a triangle with line AJF at the bottom and it has 34 for AJ and 2m +3n for JF. The bisector is LJ making a 90 degree angle. Line LA is labeled 42 and line LF is labeled 3m. I hope this helps in solving the problem.
I started by writing 3m = 90 and got m=30 and 2m +3n = 90 where I put 30 in place of m and solved for n which was 20. My answer is m + n = 30 + 20 =50.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help me with this problem; we appreciate it very much.

Question 65818: I asked this problem already and received an answer, but my teacher has said I need to have a certain format for the answer. I have looked and looked but to no help do not understand what she is looking for, thank you for the help:
The demand equation for a certain type of printer is given by:
D = -200p + 35,000
The supply equation is predicted to be:
S = -p^2 + 400p - 20,000
The answer I recieved was:
P = 487.08 and P = 112.92
Can anyone help me figure out what I am to use for a format and how it is to be set up. Thank you.
