Glenda wants to glue glitter over a piece of felt shaped like a parallelogram with a height of 48in and a base of 26in. If the glitter costs $1.00 per square ft, how much will it cost to cover the felt?
A. $34.67
B. $1248
C. $104.00
D. $8.67
The correct answer is D. I chose B. I used the formula: A=bh. I do not see how they got $8.67????
Answer by edjones(8007) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
48*26=1248 in^2
1 ft^2 = 144 in^2
1248/144=8.67 ft^2
8.67*$1.00=$8.67 D
