Question 323561: what is the area of an isosceles right triangle with hypotenuse 6 square root of 2

Answer by mananth(16946)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let side be x
x^2+x^2= 6sqrt2
2x^2= 6sqrt2
x^2= 6/2 sqrt2
x^2=3sqrt2
..
Area of triange = 1/2* base * height
Area = 1/2 * x*x ( isoscles triangle)
area = 1/2 x^2
plug the value of x^2
area = 1/2* 3 sqrt2
area = 3/ sqrt2
