area whole pie = pi * (diameter/2)^2 = pi * radius^2
area of slice = 1/8 * pi * (diameter/2)^2 = 1/8 * pi * radius^2
radius = diameter/2 = 12/2 = 6

= 1/8 * 36 * pi (so 36pi is area whole pie)
= 36/8 * pi
