Question 161749: My husband and I are building a semi-circular wall in our landscaping. We have 12x12 inch blocks that we need to cut in order to place them on top of the wall. If the radius of our semi-circle is 78 and 5/16 inches at what angle should we cut each of our blocks to form the semi-circle?
Answer by scott8148(6628) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
envision a long thin isosceles triangle, with a base of 12 inches and sides of 78 5/16 inches
the cosine of the base angles is (12/2)/78 5/16 __ cos(x)=.07662 (approx) __ x=85.6º
