Question 15982: how do you solve for d in the problem pi=c/d

Answer by mathrebel(25)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
multiply the whole equation by d so the one on the right side cancels out:
d*pi=(c*d)/d
d*pi=c*1
d*pi=c
then, divide by pi so the one on the left side cancels out:
(d*pi)/pi=c/pi
d*1=c/pi
d=c/pi
