So, your help would be greatly appreciated.
The problem is as follows:
How many squares are on an 8 by 8 checkerboard? Write an explanation of how you got your answer.

THERE ARE 8 SQUARES ON A SIDE THEREFORE YOU HASVE AN 8 BY 8 SQUARE. OR:
8*8=64 SQUARES.

I'm afraid that the previous solution is incorrect since you can have squares made up of more than one 1x1 square.
