Answer by Boreal(15235)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
s=(1/2)at^2; a=9.8 m/sec^2, t=0.5 sec
s=(1/2)2.45=1.225 m
2.4 m/sec horizontally and hits after 0.5 sec.
The product is 1.2 m
