Question 37733: The problem is (5 1/2)/ (4 3/4) This is for an online algebra class. I tried to follow the example which shows how to change the mixed fraction into a improper fraction adn then you multiply to get you answer. When I did that i came up with 5/7*7/3 but you flip the second fraction adn you get 3/7*5/7 and that gave me 15/49. But these are multiple choice questions and that answer was not one of the ones that i can choose from. I did the problem many more times and still have not come up with an answer that is one of my choices. If it helps my choices are: 22/19 19/22 110/8 12/5 209/8 13/4 Can you help me with this problem? The lesson is mixed expression and complex fractions Click here to see answer by Earlsdon(6287)
