Question 34905: I need to know some properties to help simplify different expressions such as:

I am working on 30 different problems with nothing to guide me. I have no textbook, just a sheet of paper with Pre-Algebra problems.

Question 37234: Hey, I'm really having trouble with this problem...I can't figure out which step to do first!
(((5-4w+12=-2(3w-8)+w)))
I know how to do the Distributive Property, and I simplified the expression down to [5-4w+12=-5w-16], but after that I am at loss for what to do next. I really need an answer by tomorrow morning, if possible, and I would appreciate it SOOOOOO much! Thank you!
